Job description

High Spirits Hospitality is the parent company to several different hospitality-related brands: Liquid Catering, a special event bartending company; Events at Judson Mill & The 405, our event venues; Bravo1 Protection, a private security company; and High Spirits Events, an event production company.


Each semester, we hire 4-6 interns to join our team for a semester to experience what it's like to be a part of our team. We hire for six departments: Sales & Event Planning, Marketing & Social Media, Operations, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership. Every day is different, with the primary focus being to shadow our team and work on development projects that will positively impact our clients, employees, and company. All of our interns will help with short-term and long-term projects and work events on the weekends. We look for interns who can work at least 32-40 hours a week in the office (office hours) + 1-2 weekend events. We are slightly flexible with the schedule, but we ask that you be present in the office at least three days a week.


Sales & Event Planning Intern Job Duties:

  • Assist the Sales Team for Liquid Catering, Events at Judson Mill, and The 405 with completing long-term projects.
  • Assist the team with daily tasks, such as scheduling appointments, calling leads, sending thank-you notes, etc.
  • Give tours of Judson Mill.
  • Assist the event team with planning and executing company-produced events.
  • Assist with coordinating weddings.

Marketing and Social Media Intern Job Duties:

  • Assist the Marketing Manager with social media efforts. You may be writing a blog, creating content for social media posts, or researching new social media ideas.
  • Complete basic graphic design projects.
  • Assist with photography and videography projects.
  • Maintain our brands' web presence through listing services. 
  • Reports to the Marketing Manager.

Event Operations Intern Job Duties: 

  • Shadow Ops Leadership Team to understand daily operations aspects of the business.
  • Participating in load up, load in, break down, and execution of Liquid Catering Events.
  • Work events at the venues. The goal would be to be able to manage events. 
  • Set-up & break-down for events. 
  • Assist with weekly inventory tasks.

Human Resources Intern:

  • Learn how to conduct interviews for part-time staff. 
  • Assist the HR department with record keeping. 
  • Research HR strategies and help implement new strategies.
  • Conduct employee vetting, background checks, and assist with the onboarding process.
  • Scheduling Assistance- Schedule calls with candidates meeting qualifications to discuss events applied for.
  • Discuss scheduling options available with candidates for both small and large-scale events.
  • Communicate with the Scheduling Manager as candidates are approved for final scheduling.

Executive Leadership Job Duties:

  • Assist the CEO & Executive Team with completing long-term projects focused on growing the businesses.
  • Manage the personal brand of the CEO through blog and social media efforts.
  • General office responsibilities include upkeep around the office, greeting visitors, running errands, etc.
  • Research and complete reports for potential development projects. May be asked to complete financial budgets, research legalities, and find appropriate vendors for new projects.
  • Shadow the CEO and Chief of Staff on meetings and assist them with projects as requested.
All interns are paid $12 an hour + tips on events.

Interns must live or relocate to the Greenville area at their own expense. 

While a full-time offer after the internship is not guaranteed, we love to consider hiring former interns when new positions open up!


Job requirements

  • Must be available full-time. The actual schedule can be slightly flexible to allow for classwork, but we look for interns who can commit to 32-40 hours per week and be present during most office hours. Spring Interns start on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, and finish on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends 1-3 times a week.
  • Must be 21 years of age by the time the program starts.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service, great teamwork, and stellar communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and without much supervision.
  • You must have your own vehicle and a valid driver's license. You'll need to help with running errands.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
