Job description

High Spirits Hospitality is the parent company to several different hospitality-related brands; Liquid Catering, a special event bartending company; Events at Judson Mill, an event venue; Bravo1 Protection, a private security company; High Spirits Events, an event production company; and Topside Pool Club, an exclusive rooftop pool club. 

 Each semester we hire 2-4 interns to join our team for a semester to experience what it's like to be a part of our team. We hire for five different departments; Sales & Event Planning, Marketing & Social Media, Operations, Human Resources, and Business Administration. Every day is different, with the primary focus being to shadow our team and work on development projects that will make an impact to our clients, employees, and company. All of our interns will help with short-term and long-term projects, as well as work events on the weekends. We look for interns that can work at least 25 hours a week in the office (office hours) + 1-2 events on the weekends. We are slightly flexible with the schedule, but we do ask that you be present in the office at least three days a week.

Marketing and Social Media Intern Job Duties:

  • Assist the Marketing Manager with social media efforts. You may be writing a blog, creating content for social media posts, or researching new social media ideas.
  • Complete basic graphic design projects.
  • Assist with photography and videography projects.
  • Maintain our brands web presence through listing services. 
  • Reports to the Marketing Manager.

Business Administration Job Duties: 

  • Assist the Administrative Team with completing long-term projects focused on growing the businesses. 
  • Manage the personal brand of the CEO through blog and social media efforts. 
  • Research and complete reports for potential development projects. May be asked to complete financial budgets, research legalities and find appropriate vendors for new projects.
  • Assist with researching resources and vendors for our ongoing construction project at Judson Mill.
  • Assist with managing our Airbnb rentals.
  • Assist the HR department with recruiting efforts

Our CEO and administration team oversees multiple operations and coordinates event logistics with dozens of staff and vendors. The business intern must be technically proficient with data and research and able to effectively communicate with clients via email and phone. We value honesty, time management, adaptability, and a passion for customer service.

Sales & Event Planning Intern Job Duties:

  • Assist the Sales Team for Liquid Catering and Events at Judson Mill with completing long-term projects.
  • Assist the team with daily tasks, such as scheduling appointments, calling leads, sending thank you notes, etc.
  • Give tours of Judson Mill.
  • Assist the Event Director with planning and executing company-produced events.

Operations Intern Job Duties: 

  • Shadowing Ops Leadership Team with the objective of understanding daily operations aspects of the business.
  • Participating in load up, load in, break down, and execution of Liquid Catering Events.
  • Working with Director of Operations to update/streamline Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist with managing Topside Pool Club. Complete inventory and stocking tasks at the club. Ensure the club is set up for success each week.

Human Resources/Training Intern:

  • Assist with writing new training classes.
  • Improving current training by creating engaging content, such as videos and gamification.
  • Learn how to conduct interviews for part-time staff. 
  • Assist the HR department with record keeping. 
  • Research and provide draft for new policies.
  • Assist with putting together culture-driven programming and events.

All interns are paid $10 an hour + tips on events.

Interns must currently live or relocate to the Greenville area at their own expense. 

While a full-time offer after the internship is not guaranteed, we love to consider hiring former interns when new positions open up!


  • Must be available full-time. The actual schedule can be slightly flexible to allow for classwork, but we do look for interns who can commit to 32-40 hours per week and be present during most office hours. The Spring internship would run from the end of January-Mid May 2023. 
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends 1-3 times a week. 
  • Must be 21 years of age by the time the program starts. 
  • Should be able to demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional customer service, great teamwork, and stellar communication skills. 
  • Must be able to work independently and without much supervision. 
  • Must have your own vehicle and valid driver's license. You will need to assist with running errands.
