Job Purpose

The Sales Assistant provides support to our CEO & sales team. It's your job to ensure the team have the tools and resources they need to be successful.


Job Duties

Sales:

  • Respond to and process all client inquiries and questions within appropriate limits as fast as possible, preferably within one hour during business hours. Filter requests to specific team members on items they need to address.
  • Update client invoices, proposals, contracts, and deposit schedules as requested.
  • Assist with moderating the shared sales email inboxes and phone lines. Manage the “help desk” function of sales process.
  • Book one-time events for our security company, Bravo1. 
  • Assist the sales team with compiling database lists of target market segments.
  • Maintain contact and company records in Engagebay, the company's CRM system.
  • Complete automated tasks as assigned by CRM system.
  • Oversee the set-up, training, and use of all sales-related technology tools.
  • Compile and present the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports regarding company sales, customer satisfaction, market trends, and performance rates.
  • Assist with business development and sponsorship sales, including conducting cold calls, writing proposals, and managing the payment process.
  • Run errands and take on special projects as needed.
  • Be an expert with all products and services offered by our company. Responsible for communicating details of these products, services, and applicable policies to our clients.
  • Ensure customer service standards are held to the highest of expectations. Manage conflicts with clients in an appropriate manner according to company values. Communicate unsatisfactory feedback regarding performance of staff members to the appropriate staff.

Expectations

  • Attend and be well-prepared for all staff meetings, training, and retreats.
  • Should be able to manage and prioritize incoming tasks and requests from the CEO.
  • Must be able to complete tasks on time and efficiently.
  • Own a cell phone with a text, voice, and data plan that can be used for work purposes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and guests.
  • Must be able to think critically and problem solve, sometimes in very high stress situations.
  • Should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Should always come to with a positive attitude, ready to work hard and be a supportive member of our team.
  • Responsible for turning in financial receipts in a timely manner and monitor the department budget to avoid excess expenditures
  • Be familiar with all policies, products and services offered by our company. Be an expert on policies that are in place for the venue.

Typical Schedule

This is primarily a Monday-Friday 9-5 job, with 2-4 weekend/evening event & networking shifts a month. There is some flexibility to adjust the weekday schedule to accommodate working parents. This is an in-office position. Our pay period runs Wednesday-Tuesday, and we do give you the flexibility to adjust your schedule if you do have to work an event.

  • Hourly base wage of $17-$18 an hour plus a .25% sales commission & bonus eligibility. This is considered a full-time, non-exempt position. Total compensation package is estimated at $45-$48,000 per year.

Job requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a relevant role or internship. Must demonstrate the ability to provide administrative support to a team or executive.
  • Must respect the diversity of our clients and be willing to serve all clients, regardless of their race, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
  • Should demonstrate remarkable leadership skills.
  • Should demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office technology tools.
  • Should demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Should demonstrate exceptional organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be willing to work 2-4 evening and weekend events a month.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and have your own vehicle. There will be some light daily travel involved for cold calling, vendor visits, and other errands.
  • Must be able to lift, move, and carry 50+ lbs.
  • High School diploma or GED required. A college degree is NOT a requirement for this position.
